Laçi is a city founded in 1960 as an industrial city. Under this perspective, the communist regime had planned that the most important objects of heavy and medium industry for the north of Albania would be concentrated in this industrial center. In that period, the Superphosphate and Copper Enrichment Plant, the edible oil factory, the wood plant, the quartz factory were built in Laç, so it turned into the largest construction site in the north. Having said all this, I want to connect it with the natural disaster of the earthquake where, according to a World Vision Albania balance sheet, the Kurbin Municipality is the most affected municipality in terms of buildings declared uninhabitable as well as private homes.
The central and local governments state that we do not Cambodia Telegram Number Data have facilities to accommodate the residents of the 61 buildings that have begun to be demolished by the IKMT and that have approved a rent bonus ranging from 12,000-16,000 lek per month. Meanwhile, we, as "good" Albanians, have rushed to increase house rents and now a flat in Laç for rent costs at least 20,000 new lek! What is the solution? Quite simply, there is no reason to satisfy the appetite of irresponsible people who use this natural disaster to benefit five more lek and fail to show solidarity with their fellow citizens. As if these disasters were not enough, we have another even greater disaster; we are "doomed" to be led by visionless, incompetent and ignorant people.
Saying that you can't find housing in Laç is like saying that you can't find salt water in the sea. Is it so difficult for the Municipality to take its properties and adapt them to social housing? Do you know, dear friends, how many properties and abandoned facilities the Kurbin Municipality should have under its administration? Here, I remember some of them! 1- Former Sanxhak Genius Military Department, 2- Former Laç Tank Department, 3- Former Sanxhak Wood Combine, 4- Former Sanxhak Oil Factory, 5- Warehouses of NSHN Laç, 6- Warehouses of the Sanxhak Farm, 7- Warehouses of Laç cooperative products, 8- Patok workers camp, 9- Laç Pioneer House, 10- Laç train station, 11- Milot train station, 12- Former Milot State Reserves.
